Big Theater

Wheelock Family Theatre

One, two or four week program for students in 6-12 grade. Sessions focus on various acting and stage management skills including stage combat, Improv, Broadway and playwriting. Tuition varies for each program.  Tuition assistance is available and they state that no family has ever been turned away for being unable to pay.

The City Spotlights Teen Leadership Programs empower youth to become leaders in school, at home, and in their communities using their creative voices. The leadership, community, and career development training that these programs provide creates a foundation for Teen Leaders to grow into adults who will champion change, drive innovation, and ensure our community’s long term vitality.​

Company One Theatre's Apprentice Program

Company One Theatre’s Apprentice Program is a professional development opportunity designed to give young Boston High School Students the skills they need to work on professional theatrical productions. Our program develops many of the skills necessary to the 21st century workforce including adept communication and collaboration, adaptability and flexibility, and critical thinking — all in a positive, creative and safe space.

Movie Theatre

Riverside Theatre Works

Excellent community theatre with multiple productions and courses put on each year. Summer programs include full production or classes.
 
Look into the RTW scholarships program, which pays the tuition for students living or attending public school in Hyde Park who have a particular interest in theater - performing, singing or dancing - but have not been able to participate in an RTW production because of the cost.
